This Is The Time, No Other Time, And God Is Counting On You – A Message to Life Missions Volunteers.

Pastor Omoniyi Osomo, a dedicated missionary, has called on Christians, especially young people, to embrace mission work, stressing that God is relying on them. Speaking at a training session for over 250 Life Missions volunteers preparing for a mission trip to Uganda, Pastor Osomo, the founder of Mission Enablers, delivered a powerful message on the topic, “Dying Before Going”. He highlighted that effective missionary work demands a complete surrender of the flesh and its desires. He emphasized that one must burn the ship and reckon himselves sold out to God’s purpose, as well as give themselves to His will. While sharing his personal testimony about his journey in missions, Pastor Osomo praised the volunteers for answering the call to serve in Uganda. He pointed out that Jesus seeks out the lost and unsaved souls, reminding the volunteers of Christ’s command for His disciples to go deep into the world, reaching those on the brink of eternal condemnation. The missionary emphasized that prayer alone is not enough if one does not yield to God’s call. He cautioned that one might pray in the Holy Ghost, but without yielding to the call, it’s a waste of time; encouraging followers of Christ to step out of their comfort zones and noting that serving God comes with a personal cost, as God does not accept that which costs nothing. Pastor Osomo also prayed for believers to depend on God and spiritual disciplines, warning that “you will fall irrespective of whom you are as a servant of God”. He urged everyone to remain faithful and diligent in their assignments, reminding them that God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. The preacher affirmed that, “The proof of your love for Him is your obedience to His command. This is not the time to be silent but the time to raise the banner of the name of Jesus”. Shortly after the sermon, the Director/Founder of Exalting Jesus Life Missions, Reverend Michael ChristisKing, briefed him on the Uganda Great Commission which include the number of volunteers, the activities at the refugees camp and the prospects. The volunteers have adopted at least a country across the globe to intercede for God’s revival, holiness and righteousness. In light of this, Rev. Michael presented flags of some nations to Pastor Osomo as a mark of solidarity. The ministration also involved an altar call and prayers for salvation. LOVE JESUS CAMPAIGN. You can be part of this! Exalting Jesus Life Missions, an inter-denominational organization with the mandate of mobilizing, training, and empowering young people to preach the Gospel globally has commenced it’s eight weeks of physical and spiritual training of hundreds of volunteers for the 2024 missions trip to Uganda. The training that commenced on Saturday, 7th September 2024 is ongoing at the Foursquare Gospel Church camp ground, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ajebo, Ogun State. This will last for the next 60 days with activities geared towards equipping the volunteers who are already swimming in the oceans of elation. The International Director and Founder of Exalting Jesus Life Missions (EJLM), Rev. Micheal ChistisKing set the ball rolling by charging missionaries and Christians to live a prayerful life that serves as a weapon for tackling spiritual and physical challenges of life at all times. While addressing volunteers of over two hundred (200) youths who have opted for the mission trip to Uganda, Rev. Michael said, it is important to give oneself to prayers which also serve as an arsenal in times of trials. He lauded the volunteers for making themselves available for kingdom use, at least for the next nine months. Rev. ChristisKing journeyed memory lane on how he developed a passion for missions decades ago. This he said was borne out of passion for lost souls and taking the Gospel to the unreached. Moses Abah of Life Missions in a message on “the need for an encounter”. In one of the sessions, underscored the importance of having a personal encounter with Jesus. He averred that, as Christians and disciples, there is a need to get involved in the Great Commission in which Christ Jesus commanded his disciples, “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature…” He averred that, having an encounter with Jesus offers one direct access to him unconditionally. Pastor Moses opined that, there are people in the body of Christ who seek God but can not find Him, adding that, there are certain realms one gets to with God and will not look back nor give in to distractions, trials, persecutions, and other issues of life. A one-time Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) President, Cross River State chapter, Moses reiterates the need to live a prayerful life. He noted that prayer is not an activity but a vehicle. He enjoins all and sundry, especially believers to keep a fixed gaze on Jesus and their goal should be for people to see and encounter Jesus. Demystifying the idea of one being afraid, one of the Missions Leaders, Sister Priscilla Pelumi said, God has not given believers the Spirit of fear but of courage and sound mind, clinging to . She said, fear is a barrier and the Holy Spirit wants believers to surrender to him to work out strength, courage, and boldness. “Some of us are scared of surrendering all to Jesus, worrying about food, Job, business, family, what will people say and how to survive. All that the Holy Spirit demands is for you to hand over yourself to Him to take it to different realms of glory,” she said, citing Romans 8:15. Innocent Onyedikachi in the early hours of Sunday, September 15, 2024, admonished volunteers on the topic “Why am I afflicted?”. He said some of the reasons individuals pass through affliction is because they have not yielded to the Holy Spirit. Minister Innocent asserted that, when being tried, one should not say he is being tried by God knowing that God does not lead his children into temptation and affliction. Excersice Holy Ghost Hour. The volunteers in response took the message and raining down the heavens with prayers and blasting in tongues. They are divided into groups of five and are expected to continue in spirit-filled activities including, prayers, praise and worship, words, and other exercises throughout the 60 days in camp.
